ABSTRACT
Forty patients with a whiplash injury who had been reviewed previously 2 and 10 years after were assessed again mean of 15.5 by physical examination, pain psychometric testing. Twenty-eight (70%) continued to complain symptoms referable the original accident. Neck was commonest, but low-back present in half. Women older worse outcome. Radiating more common those severe symptoms. Evidence psychological disturbance seen 52% Between 15 accident 18% improved whereas 28% deteriorated.
