Orthopaedic training in China

There is no unified national training system for orthopaedic surgeons in China. With such rapid progress many aspects of life China, there an imminent need improvement the specialists. Since 2003 community Hong Kong has been working collaboration with their colleagues mainland China to develop a surgery. We adopted from Royal College Surgeons Edinburgh (RCSEd), setting up trial centre Beijing Jishuitan hospital 2006, trainers and trainees attaining standards set by RCSEd Orthopaedic (HKCOS). This ongoing, success two who passed exit examination 2010 became first Chinese joint fellowship both HKCOS. Following this inaugural success, we are confident that will consistently high international standard.
