ABSTRACT
Interaction between shear flows and plasma instabilities in axially symmetric mirrors can lead to improved confinement, observed both experiments on the gas dynamic trap simulations. Shear flows, driven via biased end plates limiters, combination with finite-larmor-radius effects are shown be efficient confining high-beta plasmas even a magnetic hill axis. Interpretation of such as vortex i.e., confinement core dead-flow zone vortex, is agree well Theoretical scaling laws predict scheme useful fusion plasmas.
