ABSTRACT
Emotional intelligence and self-efficacy are considered two of the most fundamental teachers' characteristics to create positive effects on students.Recent research teacher efficacy has turned from a focus mastery content area lesson plan development identification beliefs emotional self-regulation required for teaching student learning.The purpose this was examined whether abilities influence efficacy.The relationship between gender, length experience academic formation with is also analyzed.The sample comprised 634 Portuguese school teachers.Data sources included Skills Competence Questionnaire Teachers, Teacher Efficacy in Classroom Management Discipline Scale.The findings, using structural equation modeling, showed that teachers greater skills at perceiving, understanding, expressing, classifying, managing regulating emotions demonstrated levels efficacy.Therefore positively efficacy.Having who apt perceive manage will be salutary personal students, as well structuring self-regulating learning environment.So results support ability job performance, add literature suggesting succeed complex demanding setting, must develop necessary enhancing their efficacy.This contributes importance being created training, education discipline.
