ABSTRACT
The pollution control of tetracycline antibiotics in the environment has become a hot topic, and biochar adsorption an important technology to remove organic pollutants. Pyrolytic biochars (BC400, BC500, BC600) were prepared from corn straw then modified by KOH obtain KBC400, KBC500, KBC600. Among them, KBC400 was selected for secondary pyrolysis activation at 400-600℃ AKBC400, AKBC500, AKBC600. structure characteristics surface properties AKBC also characterized. kinetics thermodynamic oxytetracycline hydrochloride (OTC) solution investigated using batch experiments. Compared that BC400, specific area pore significantly improved, aromaticity enhanced, resulting notable enhancement capacities OTC. pseudo-second-order model could better fit process, AKBC500 had largest rate constant capacity. Both intraparticle diffusion film rate-limiting steps. Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin models isotherms perfectly. OTC on spontaneous, endothermic, entropy-increasing process both physisorption chemisorption. pH values range 3.0-7.0 favorable AKBC. capacity decreased with humic acid concentration over 10 mg·L
