ABSTRACT
Groundwater is the main source of water for daily life, agricultural irrigation, and industrial production in Manas River Basin (MRB) Xinjiang. To explore spatial distribution sources inorganic components groundwater their negative effects on human health, 37 samples were collected plain area MRB. The distribution, sources, potential health risks analyzed using Kriging interpolation, PMF analysis, Pearson correlation a risk assessment model. results showed that all was weakly alkaline. TDS Cl- had similar characteristics, being higher eastern part area. high SO42- mainly distributed periphery County edge Gurbantonggut desert. NO3--N, which greatly affected by activities, heterogeneity, high-value areas urban areas. Arsenic (As), fluoride (F), iodine (I) important affecting quality, with over-limit rates 51.35%, 45.95%, 51.35% according to Standard Quality (GB/T 14848-2017). High As, F, I low north West Bank Canal, small topographic slope, hydraulic gradient, aquifer particles weak runoff intensity conducive enrichment I. Source apportionment different aquifers or evolution processes. concentration controlled leaching concentration, point pollution under geological environment-domestic sewage-agricultural caused domestic sewage, an alkaline-reducing environment, ion exchange. Health As component threatening health. non-carcinogenic children adults could be ignored, whereas carcinogenic cannot more sensitive cancer substances groundwater. Therefore, attention should paid exposure drinking safety, especially children.
