ABSTRACT
The Escol@s Digitais Project, under development in all public primary schools of Amadora municipality (Portugal), aims to support the process digital transformation school dynamics. In this article, we examine meaning that teachers who participate project attribute “digital school” concept. For purpose, mobilized a corpus qualitative data obtained through an online questionnaire included open question, formulated following terms: “What do you think `digital school´ could be?”. analysis carried out, with peer validation, highlighted three dimensions help us understand concept holistic way: first dimension underlines elementary requirements ensure digitalization (strategic dimension); second highlights pedagogical potential tools (pedagogical and third emphasizes set values and principles by which any school, more or less digital, should guide its action (axiological dimension). conjunction results recent studies, it is concluded ongoing process, despite being complex multifaceted, necessary raise education qualitatively higher level.
