ABSTRACT
We experimentally demonstrate a tunable Fano resonance which originates from the optical interference between two different resonant cavities using silicon micro-ring resonator with feedback coupled waveguide fabricated on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) substrate. The spectrum can be periodically tuned via changing wavelengths of resonators through thermo-optic effect. In addition to this, we also change transmission loss (FCW) tune by injection free carriers FCW. build theoretical model and analyze device performance scattering matrix method. simulation results are in good agreement experimental results. measurement maximum extinction ratio is as high 30.8dB. Therefore, proposed most promising candidate for on/off switching/modulating, high-sensitivity biochemical sensing.
