ABSTRACT
This study proposes and demonstrates a high-performance picosecond mid-infrared optical parametric oscillator (OPO) based on harmonic mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser synchronous pumping. The OPO exhibits unparalleled advantages including compact structure, high repetition rate, excellent stability, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). output pulse maintains rate of 0.8 GHz while exhibiting highly uniform amplitude SNR 52 dB at 2.3 µm, its cavity length is only 16 cm. signal light wavelength tunable within the range 2.3-2.46 idler can be tuned 4.18-4.74 µm. When pump power 4 W, delivers 120 mW 4.18 work provides what we believe to novel effective solution for realizing ultrafast lasers in with SNR, which expected play an important role fields spectroscopy medicine.
