ABSTRACT
Cold atom based narrowband entangled photon sources are important for efficient atom–photon interaction, which is at the heart of long-distance quantum communication and memory protocols. Complete characterization photons requires acquiring frequency-time two-photon wavefunction, involving both joint temporal intensity (JTI) phase (JTP) measurements. Here, we demonstrate stimulated emission tomography wavefunction from cold atoms. We show more than six orders magnitude (×106) improvement in measurement time obtaining JTI JTP compared to conventional direct counting method, thus paving way toward ultrafast high-resolution photonic states.
