Ultra-low Background Raman Sensing Using a Negative-curvature Fibre

ABSTRACT
We demonstrated hollow core negative curvature fibres (NCFs) for Raman sensing. The background emission from the silica in NCF was at least 1000× smaller than a conventional solid fibre while maintaining same collection efficiency.
