ABSTRACT
Primary care research is central to the successful transformation of delivery, providing crucial evidence overcome longstanding and widespread threats challenges realization primary care's full potential. The Agency for Healthcare Research Quality (AHRQ), as federal agency specifically charged with conducting supporting research, plays a pivotal role in generating needed advance care. Drawing upon decades AHRQ-supported studies, extensive stakeholder consultation, Care Summit held fall 2020, we discuss realizing vision high-performing US health system effectively serve all Americans their communities while advancing equity.Realizing potential will require wise investments research. Newly generated needs be rapidly incorporated into design delivery system, clinical care, community interventions. Investments evidence-informed redesign can catalyze progress achieving quintuple aim-improved outcomes, increased value, better patient clinician experience, equity. provide help stem twin epidemics burnout lack trust system. Actualizing this concerted coordinated effort by policy makers, researchers, clinicians, members commitment ensuring people have ready access care.Appeared
