ABSTRACT
Data management plans (DMPs) are documents accompanying research proposals and project outputs. DMPs created as free-form text describe the data tools employed in scientific investigations. They often seen an administrative exercise not integral part of practice. There is now widespread recognition that DMP can have more thematic, machine-actionable richness with added value for all stakeholders: researchers, funders, repository managers, administrators, librarians, others. The community moving toward a shared goal making to improve experience involved by exchanging information across systems embedding existing workflows. This will enable parts be automatically generated shared, thus reducing burdens improving quality within DMP. paper presents 10 principles put (maDMPs) into practice realize their benefits. contain specific actions various stakeholders already undertaking or should undertake order work together communities achieve larger aims themselves. We initiatives highlight how much progress has been made achieving goals maDMPs well call action those who wish get involved.
