ABSTRACT
Kumanan Wilson and colleagues explain how the rapid response to XMRV as a novel pathogen has highlighted some challenges pertaining policy-making editorial responsibilities. The impact on policy propagation of initial scientific information may not cease if evidence is disproven retracted from peer-reviewed literature, which creates challenge for regulators journals.
