ABSTRACT
Human blood monocytes play a central role in dengue infections and form the majority of virus infected cells blood. are heterogeneous divided into CD16(-) CD16(+) subsets. Monocyte subsets distinct roles during disease, but it is not currently known if monocyte differentially contribute to protection pathogenesis. Here, we compared susceptibility response human primary vitro. We found that both were equally susceptible (DENV2 NGC), capable supporting initial production new infective particles. Both produced anti-viral factors, including IFN-α, CXCL10 TRAIL. However, major producers inflammatory cytokines chemokines virus, IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6, CCL2, 3 4. The infection was increased after IL-4 treatment, this increase more profound for subset, particularly at early time points exposure. These findings reveal differential might disease.
