ABSTRACT
F-Box (FBX) proteins are encoded by a multigene family present in major lineages of eukaryotes. A number FBX shown to be subunits SCF complex, type E3 ligases composed SKP1, CULLIN, and RBX1 proteins. The Arabidopsis SKP-LIKE (ASK) also members some them interact with directly. To clarify how ASK combine, we carried out large-scale interaction analysis between using yeast two-hybrid assay (Y2H) thaliana. randomly chosen from those that interacted more than one protein were further analyzed for their subcellular localization vivo Furthermore, the expression profiles genes compared. This work reveals had preference interacting depending on domains they contain such as FBX-associated (FBA) domain, Kelch domain leucine rich repeat (LRR). In addition, it was found single could form multiple complexes several many cases. suggested variation especially abundant tissues related male gametophyte seed development. More half studied did not any proteins, implying necessity certain regulations and/or distinct roles complex.
