ABSTRACT
The inducible IκB kinase (IKKi/IKKε) is a recently described serine-threonine IKK-related kinase. Previous studies have reported the role of IKKi in infectious diseases and cancer. However, its cardiac response to pressure overload remains elusive. In this study, we investigated effects deficiency on development pathological hypertrophy using vitro vivo models. First, developed mouse models induced by aortic banding (AB). Four weeks after AB, function was then assessed through echocardiographic hemodynamic measurements. Western blotting, real-time PCR histological analyses were used assess molecular mechanisms. We observed that IKKi-deficient mice showed significantly enhanced hypertrophy, dysfunction, apoptosis fibrosis compared with WT mice. Furthermore, revealed spontaneously develop hypertrophy. Moreover, experiments deficiency-induced associated activation AKT NF-κB signaling pathway AB. cultured cells, overexpression suppressed pathway. conclusion, demonstrate exacerbates regulating
