ABSTRACT
Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is the most common myocardial disease. It not only leads to systolic dysfunction but also diastolic deficiency. We sought investigate effect of idiopathic and ischemic DCM on intraventricular fluid dynamics wall mechanics using a 2D axisymmetrical structure interaction model. In addition, we studied individual parameters related DCM, i.e. peak E-wave velocity, end volume, compliance sphericity index several important variables during ventricular filling. Intraventricular deformation are significantly impaired under conditions, being demonstrated by low vortex intensity, flow propagation pressure difference (IVPD) strain rates, high-end stress. Our sensitivity analysis results showed that velocity substantially decreases with an increase in stiffness, relatively independent preload at low-peak velocity. Early IVPD mainly affected rate change early filling volume which changes ventriculo:annular ratio. Regional rate, other hand, correlated regional therefore forms useful indicator for ischemia. The enhance our understanding mechanisms leading clinically observable patients DCM.
