ABSTRACT
Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the compromised developmental trajectory functional connectivity among resting-state-related networks (RSFNs) in medication-naïve children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Subjects and Methods Using both independent component analysis dual regression, subject-specific time courses 12 RSFNs were extracted from 20 ADHD, age gender-matched control showing typical development (TDC). Both partial correlation coefficients a resting-state resource allocation index (rsRAI) salience network (SN) entered into multiple linear regression compromised, age-related change ADHD children. Finally, analyses performed between RSFN connections significant group-by-age interaction rsRAI SN or clinical variables. Results Medication-naïve subjects failed show increment two connections, SN-Sensory/motor posterior default mode/precuneus (pDMN/prec) – anterior DMN. Lower related higher scores on Rating Scale, poor continuous performance test. pDMN/prec-aDMN positively SN. Conclusions Our results suggest that may have delayed maturation SN-Sensory/Motor aDMN-pDMN/prec. Interventions enhance these merit attention as potential therapeutic preventive options TDC.
