ABSTRACT
This study evaluated the long-term effects of different psychosocial intervention models in methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) Xi'an China. Patients from five MMT clinics were divided into three groups receiving only, with counseling psychology (CP) or contingency management (CM). Adjusted RRs their 95% confidence intervals (CIs) estimated an unconditional logistic regression model Cox proportional hazard model. total 2662 patients recruited 797 MMT, 985 CP, 880 CM. Following treatment, injection rates CP CM significantly lower than that (5.1% 6.9% vs. 16.3%, x² = 47.093 29.908, respectively; P<0.05). HIV incidences at year 20.09, 0.00 10.02 per ten thousand person-years, respectively. HCV 18.35, 4.42 6.61 hundred respectively, demonstrating protective factors incidence (RR 0.209 0.414, range 0.146-0.300 0.298-0.574, respectively). supplemented can reduce heroin related risk behaviors, thereby reducing HCV.
