ABSTRACT
Oxidative stress is involved in a variety of diseases. Prospective studies investigating the relationship between oxidative biomarkers and status development colorectal cancer (CRC) are scarce; previous have failed to establish serum total oxidant/antioxidant CRC. Therefore, we compared levels CRC patients healthy subjects, analyzed their clinical significance Fasting blood samples from 132 64 subjects were collected. parameters, including oxidant (TOS) antioxidant (TAS), measured, index (OSI) was calculated. The TOS OSI increased significantly (P<0.001) TAS level decreased group those control group. parameters differed depending on patient’s smoking drinking (P<0.05). preoperative postoperative TOS, TAS, did not differ primary sites (colon/rectum) stages (P>0.05).However, different with no metastasis metastases two organs (P<0.05) Finally, affected by drinking, subsequent research should be conducted excluding relevant influencing factors.
