ABSTRACT
Thrips (Enneothrips flavens) is a pest that causes severe damage and yield losses to peanut crop if not properly controlled. The main control method currently used by farmers bi-weekly application of insecticides during development, which, in addition its toxicity, very costly. Thus, new sources resistance must be identified order reduce the use effectively manage pest. This study aimed evaluate occurrence symptoms E. flavens infestations 12 accessions 10 wild species Arachis nine amphidiploids, as well compare their morphoagronomic characteristics those commercial cultivars. To this end, we conducted experiments two summer seasons, using randomized block design with four replications. We evaluations severity infestation, noting visual morphological reproductive plants. Results indicated V 7635 (A. vallsii), 13250 kempff-mercadoi), K 9484 batizocoi), Wi 1118 williamsii), 14167 duranensis) 13751 magna) are most promising for obtaining useful amphidiploids.
