ABSTRACT
The global increase in C-section rates is real. In Brazil, these indices correspond to 58.94% the Midwest region and 52.77% Federal District.To evaluate identify groups with greatest risk at two reference hospitals public network of District/Brazil, using 10-Group Robson System.A cross-sectional study 6579 births assisted Hospital A (HA) B (HB) during 2013. each group its respective contribution total hospital C-sections was compared between HA HB. To this, used proportion difference test (similar chi-square test), RR 95% CI, logistic regression analysis (OR; CI) among higher C-section/total C-section. significance limit p < 0.05 defined for all tests.The were 50.8% 42.3% HB, 1.20 (95%CI = 1.13-1.28) HA. highest observed G5, G1, G2. At HA, G1 had a 21.5% rate, which greater than HB (13.8%; 0.05); cesarean G2 G5 (respectively, 18.6 38.1%) (14.8 32.5%, respectively; 0.05).These results point out specific goals be achieved order reduce abusive both hospitals, especially primigravida those previous
