ABSTRACT
Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) is a major cause of hospital-acquired diarrhea. Secondary bile acids were shown to confer resistance colonization by C. difficile. 7α-dehydroxylation key step in transformation primary secondary and required genes have been located single acid-inducible (bai) operon scindens as well hiranonis, two sp. recently reported protect against colonization.
