ABSTRACT
Seminal plasma is a key biological fluid that modulates sperm function in the reproduction process. However, its role biotechnologies scarce poultry. The aims of present study were to amino acids profile and total proteins seminal 12 Spanish chicken breeds investigate on cryoresistance rooster sperm. To cryoresistance, diluted pooled semen samples cryopreserved presence absence plasma. Glutamic acid was most abundant free plasma, followed by alanine, serine, valine, glycine. There an influence breed (P<0.05) percentage viable after freezing-thawing with Cluster analysis revealed White Prat, Black Castellana, Blue Andaluza, Quail Red-Barred Vasca returned best response (good freezers). positive correlation between concentrations isoleucine lysine, leucine post thaw viability. evaluation fertilization capacity frozen-thawed from Prat ('good freezer') Black-Red Andaluza ('bad showed good freezer had higher fertility (20/68, 29.4%) compared bad (14/76, 18.4%), even if difference not significant (P = 0.08). TUNEL assay freezing/thawing procedures provoked DNA fragmentation breeds, isoleucine, methionine, leucine, tyrosine, phenylalanine integrity. lower effect viability highly reduced. It concluded specific associated post-thaw removal decreases variability results damages.
