ABSTRACT
Political trust is a perennially important concern and the events of last few years have, in many ways, heightened this importance. The relevant scholarship has done much to meet challenge but continues struggle with definitional unclarities an inability provide accounts that consistently operate as expected. current research seeks test potential classic model from organizational sciences makes specific arguments regarding psychological nature mechanisms construct helping address these concerns. Using data national convenience sample, we preliminary evidence which suggests measures models addressing theoretical account form unidimensional reliable may more precisely explain process political outperform predicting correlates. We conclude by discussing implications limitations our work and, so doing, lay foundation for new agenda trust.
