ABSTRACT
WRKY proteins are a large group of plant transcription factors that involved in various biological processes, including biotic and abiotic stress responses, hormone response, development, metabolism. have been identified several plants, but only few Capsicum annuum. Here, we total 62 genes the latest pepper genome. These were classified into three groups (Groups 1–3) based on structural features their proteins. The structures encoded proteins, evolution, expression under normal growth conditions analyzed 35 putative miRNA target sites predicted 20 CaWRKY genes. Moreover, response to cold or CMV treatments selected examined validate roles stresses. And alternative splicing (AS) events some CaWRKYs also infection. Promoter analysis confirmed growth, responses hot pepper. comprehensive provides fundamental information for better understanding signaling pathways WRKY-mediated regulation developmental as well responses.
