ABSTRACT
The study of affective disorders among young population has become increasingly relevant in the last years. PANAS is a widely used questionnaire devoted to assess positive and negative affect. main purpose current was examine psychometric properties Spanish version for children (PANAS). sample consisted 1032 adolescents aged between 10 15 ESEM two factor model (Positive Affect Negative Affect) found as most suitable model. scores also showed acceptable internal consistency. invariant across gender educational level. Results statistically significant differences latent mean with females scoring higher than males younger students lower PA. Positive affect were related external variables well-being. present supports brief useful tool screening PA NA adolescents.
