ABSTRACT
The circadian clock and aging are intertwined. Disruption to the normal diurnal rhythm accelerates corresponds with telomere shortening. Telomere attrition also correlates increase cellular senescence incidence of chronic disease. In this report, we examined association White Collar 2 (WC-2) in Neurospora BMAL1 zebrafish mice found that these transcription factors associate DNA a rhythmic fashion. We identified Telomeric Repeat-containing RNA (TERRA), lncRNA transcribed from telomere. TERRA was lost liver Bmal1-/- indicating it is regulated transcript. There BMAL1-dependent H3K9me3 at brain mouse liver, increasing age. Taken together, results provide evidence plays direct role homeostasis by regulating rhythms heterochromatin. Loss may contribute erosion during aging.
