Intimate partner violence (IPV) with miscarriages, stillbirths and abortions: Identifying vulnerable households for women in Bangladesh

ABSTRACT
Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a social problem in Bangladesh with adverse effects on maternal healthcare. This study analyzed the sociodemographic factors responsible for intimate and its overall association reproductive healthcare–specifically miscarriages, stillbirths induced abortions (MSA)–using Demographic Health Survey 2007, which contains latest available data till date, hypothesis that associated abortions. The generalized linear regression model was fitted to 3,920 women adjusting survey weights cluster/strata variations. concluded 1 out of every 4 who reported experiencing also having one or more results revealed were significantly age women, residence, at their first birth, sex household head household's financial condition. Furthermore, odds increased by 35% victims violence, establishing significant between violence. There appeared be need address issue both paradigms, particularly poor rural Bangladeshi patriarchal society. These findings demand combined intervention effort vulnerable cohorts, especially if intends attain goals 3.1 5.2 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030.
