ABSTRACT
The aim of the present study was to (1) investigate relationship between late-onset Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and DNA methylation levels in six top seven AD-associated genes identified through a meta-analysis recent genome wide association studies, APOE, BIN1, PICALM, CR1, CLU, ABCA7, blood, (2) examine its applicability diagnosis AD. We examined differences at CpG island shores using Sanger sequencing, one two groups 48 AD patients elderly controls used for test or replication analysis. found that three out genes, were significantly lower subjects. combination CLU APOE genotype classified with AUC = 0.84 0.80 analyses, respectively. Our implicates onset suggests their diagnostic value.
