ABSTRACT
Patients presenting with the coronavirus-2019 disease (COVID-19) may have a high risk of cardiovascular adverse events, including death from causes. The long-term outcomes these patients are entirely unknown. We aim to perform registry who undergone diagnostic nasopharyngeal swab for SARS-CoV-2 and determine their outcomes. This is multicenter, observational, retrospective be conducted at 17 centers in Spain Italy (ClinicalTrials.gov number: NCT04359927). Consecutive older than 18 years, underwent real-time reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) SARS-CoV2 participating institutions, will included since March 2020, August 2020. classified into two groups, according results RT-PCR: COVID-19 positive or negative. primary outcome mortality 1 year. secondary acute myocardial infarction, stroke, heart failure hospitalization, pulmonary embolism, serious cardiac arrhythmias, Outcomes compared between groups. Events adjudicated by an independent clinical event committee. this contribute better understanding implications COVID19.
