Introduction The study aimed at exploring the adverse events following immunization (AEFI) and their incidences among health workers in three different districts of central western Nepal first dose Covishield vaccine,. It also studying association AEFI with demographic clinical characteristics vaccinees, pre-vaccination anxiety level prior history COVID-19 infection (RT- PCR confirmed) status. Materials methods This was a cross-sectional carried out via face-to-face or telephonic interview 1006 one week after receiving vaccine. Incidence calculated percentage while Chi-square Test used to check independent variables. Logistic regression find adjusted odd’s ratio 95% CI. Results 79.8% local systemic being 68.0% 59.7% respectively. Injection site tenderness commonest manifestation. Local symptoms resolved less than 96.8% 98.7% vaccinees Females were more likely develop males (AOR = 1.7, CI 1.2–2.4). Vaccinees aged 45–59 years 50% as compared those 30 0.5, 0.3–0.8). Most had not undergone RT-PCR testing for (59.8%). Those who tested 1.5 odds negative 1.5, 1.1–2.1). Conclusion More two-third developed forms events, but most self-limiting. young adults prone AEFI.
