ABSTRACT
Oropouche fever is an infectious disease caused by the virus (OROV). The diagnosis and prediction of clinical picture continue to be a great challenge for clinicians who manage patients with acute febrile syndrome. Several symptoms have been associated OROV infection in syndrome; however, date, there no rule, which fundamental tool help approach this disease. To assess performance model based solely on signs diagnose syndrome.Validation study, included 923 syndrome registered Epidemiological Surveillance database three arbovirus endemic areas Peru.A total 97 (19%) were positive development group 23.6% validation group. area under curve was 0.65 sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV, LR + LR- 78.2%, 35.1%, 27.6%, 83.6%, 1.20 0.62, respectively. The does not work well. This may due fact that are nonspecific related other infections, confuse make it difficult predict diagnosis, especially co-infection these diseases. For reason, epidemiological surveillance various settings using laboratory tests such as PCR important.
