ABSTRACT
Specific microRNAs expressions may accurately characterize different stages of canine myxomatous mitral valve disease. This preliminary pilot study aimed to (1) describe the clinical and echocardiographic parameters Cavalier King Charles Spaniels affected by disease at American College Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) (B1, B2 C) healthy control group (ACVIM A), comparing collected during first examination (T0) end follow-up (T1); (2) assess association between values T1 expression profile miR-30b-5p T0. Thirty-five (median age 4.29 years median weight 9 Kg) in ACVIM were included (7 A, 19 B1, 6 3 C). Inverse probability weighting analysis was performed estimate exposure variable (miR-30b-5p) with outcome variables (clinical variables). Time as variable. The results pointed out that high levels plasma corresponded lower left ventricular end-diastolic diameter normalized for body weight, end-systolic volumes indexed atrium-to aortic root ratio. Hence, higher associated milder forms our population. In contrast, obtained intensity heart murmur, regurgitation severity, Mitral INsufficiency Echocardiographic score) not statistically significant. A relationship abundance appear echocardiographically more stable over time has been demonstrated. conclusion, cardiologic evaluation showed an upregulation are expected experience lesser variations on their T0 T1.
