ABSTRACT
In this study, the numerical direct shear tests were conducted to investigate mechanical properties of joint networks under constant normal stiffness (CNS) boundary conditions. The influence random number on stress (τ), dilation (normal displacement, δv) and (σn) rock mass studied quantitatively with fixed main slip surface. At same time, internal evolution process failure analyzed. results reveal that joints (γ) has little effect stresses. displacement sample generally decreases as increases. addition, specimen is absorbed by when in increases a certain level: γ greater than 6 (μ) reaching 10 mm, exhibits contraction. Therefore, mainly control mode dilatancy performance specimen, while controls specimen.
