ABSTRACT
In patients with intracranial aneurysm presenting spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), 15% of them could be missed by the initial diagnostic imaging. Repeat delayed imaging can help to identify previously undetected aneurysms, however, cost-effectiveness this strategy remains uncertain. The aim study is assess repeat in SAH who had a negative result during their imaging.A Markov model was developed estimate lifetime costs and quality-adjusted life-year (QALY) for received or not The analyses were conducted from healthcare perspective, reported UK pounds expressed 2020 values. Extensive sensitivity performed robustness results. The base case incremental ratio (ICER) £9,314 per QALY compared no-repeat This ICER below National Institute Health Care Excellence (NICE) £20,000 willingness-to-pay threshold. At NICE threshold QALY, probability that most cost-effective 0.81. results are sensitive age, utility survived favorable outcome, imaging, prevalence aneurysm. This showed that, UK, it provide using computed tomographic angiography (CTA)
