ABSTRACT
In this study, the fruit phenotype and quality of 32 superior Wangmo Castanea mollissima plants (designated GM1 to GM32) were examined identify trait characteristics different cluster groups germplasms with excellent comprehensive performance. The goal was provide a theoretical basis research foundation for collecting high-quality germplasm resources breeding cultivars C. mollissima. Ten phenotypic traits 13 measured analyzed in these plants. Cluster analysis principal component (PCA) used perform evaluation. Extremely significant positive correlations (P<0.01) observed 15 pairs traits, (P<0.05) 16 traits. Highly negative 4 pairs. divided into three by analysis: first group had large fruits good quality, second small poor third medium-sized high starch content. Four components extracted from 23 PCA, contributing 76.23% variance. ten highest GM32, GM31, GM29, GM1, GM8, GM17, GM10, GM30, GM3 GM28. results study reference development utilization resources.
