An analysis of the poverty reduction effects on land transfer: Evidence from rural areas in China

ABSTRACT
This paper develops a multidimensional poverty index (MPI) evaluation system using multiple measures. We use the China Family Panel Study (CFPS) data to build balanced panel from 2012 2018. Employing probit model analyze impact of land transfer on relative incidence, as well utilizing two-way fixed effects and logit model, we approach issue perspective identification. Our study indicates decrease in among rural households since 2012. Nonetheless, overall incidence remains high at 20.6%, highlighting severity this China. Moreover, examine heterogeneity reduction transfer-in transfer-out. Land can significantly reduce households, with distinct mechanisms for primarily reduces through education, housing, dimensions, while transfer-out focuses quality-of-life dimension. Overall, has more significant effect than transfer-in. Furthermore, our reveals that persists least two years, but by fourth year, disappears.
