ABSTRACT
This swift progression of urbanization has led to increasingly prominent conflicts over the use land, particularly around its supply and demand. Researchers, both in China internationally, have underscored inherent interconnection between land utilization. relationship gradually become more complex with development urbanization. With implementation Yellow River Basin’s strategy preserve environment while ensuring high-quality development, Basin a focal point attention for numerous scholars. study centers on 57 county-level administrative divisions within Gansu segment Basin. We employed an extensive array methodologies, such as GIS technology, entropy method, data envelopment analysis, coupling coordination degree model, panel vector autoregressive model. established index system measurement model evaluate efficiency use. also investigated coordinated dynamics these two variables, further explore dynamic interplay reveal their underlying mechanisms. The conclusions are follows. level section exhibited consistent upward trajectory, albeit at levels that not high, indicating substantial room improvement future. shown generally trend. However, overall remains relatively low, characterized by imbalance, “high but low coordination”. Regarding spatial distribution patterns, considerable disparities exist which decreases from eastern toward western regions. A strong reciprocal interactive exists efficiency. An elevated economic can initially stimulate Similarly, population urbanization, social ecological tends exert restraining influence augmentation Conversely, enhancement makes distinct contribution promoting elevation level.
