ABSTRACT
This paper proposes a compact design of dual-sense circularly polarized (CP) antenna for simultaneous transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) communication systems. The primary radiating aperture the proposed is 2 × unit-cell metasurface (MS). MS excited by asymmetric patch in center, which acts as CP source whole structure. By properly tuning feeding positions, with high isolation can be achieved. For verification, an prototype dimensions 0.36λ 0.02λ (λ free-space wavelength at center operating frequency) fabricated measured. measured bandwidth 1.6% (2.45-2.49 GHz), reflection transmission coefficients are less than-10 dB axial ratio lower than 3 dB. Within this band, maximum value 39 dB, peak gain 5.7 dBi.
