ABSTRACT
This paper focuses on the travel account Viaggio settentrionale, written by Francesco Negri (1623-1698), a priest from Ravenna, and published posthumously in 1700. In first part, after brief initial paragraph about vision of north Italian travellers Scandinavia until 17th century, Negri’s itinerary is reconstructed basis information given work with aid other sources. Another devoted to work’s genesis its various editions.In second part focus interest, among others, for Scandinavian languages particular linguistic facts more general: an interest proved numerous remarks scattered throughout his work. A glossary all “scandinavisms” (this term used refer not only Swedish Norwegian but also Lappish Finnish words expressions) semantic index follow.
