ABSTRACT
The Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm gains more importance each day, as the number and variety connected devices grows. To answer specific needs IoT, many wireless network standards have been developed. An example is LoRaWide Area Network (LoRaWAN), which has gained popularity thanks to affordable costs its gateways, well wide range, low energy consumption flexibility. Considering challenges that exist with testing researching on real LoRaWAN systems, development accurate simulators invaluable. Therefore, this work presents a survey available tools for simulating LoRa networks in ns-3 simulator. We present how those were implemented their main features limitations. also showcase are being used literature evaluate performance LoRA networks. Finally, we compare module so highlight what scenarios them suited for.
