ABSTRACT
The last few years have seen the release of an increasing number new IT-related devices into marketplace that started to utilize tactile feedback. These include those incorporating a touch screen make multimodal feedback delivery two or more sensory modalities possible. commonly-held view is use such (or multisensory) feedback, involving presentation information ought, if anything, improve usability, performance, and satisfaction interface. In particular, especially beneficial effect might be expected in situations are highly perceptually and/or cognitively demanding, as driving car monitoring complex system. present study, we examined potential provided by on participants' performance demanding dual-task situation. We compared unimodal (visual) with various kinds (bimodal trimodal) addition, also investigated consequences varying intensity signals were presented driver (Experiment 2). Overall, results experiments reported here show enhanced pronounced benefits different increased.
