ABSTRACT
Tibial plateau fractures are the common injuries that may be associated with poor outcomes and a high rate of complications. The problem rise significantly in energy trauma severe soft tissue injuries.Early technique osteosysnthesis were based on extensive surgical approach.Introduction minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis using locking compression conserves vascularity bone but also leads to overall improvement values healing.MATERIALS AND METHODS: Inclusion criteria for this study patients either sex, tibial Schatzker's Type V VI, age group 15 60 years compounding upto Gustilo Anderson's Grade II excluded where was grade III displacement <2mm.The treated applying LCP percutaneously medially or laterally depending side comminution.RESULTS: In our conducted 45 4 lost follow up first 6 months displaced functional result Rasmussen's acceptable all cases an average score 26.38.All series showed union time being 13.3 weeks.DISCUSSION: Our confirms is viable alternative as treatment open type I II.The incidence infection wad 10% which comparable most literature select fractures.None had nonunion only one delayed does not required grafting metaphyseal area has good blood supply. There superficial resolved dressing antibiotic within 3 weeks. The mean range motion at knee joint 5 degree 130 degree. (1) CONCLUSION: This paper reports short term results utilization high-energy fractures. The early have been excellent restoration stability minimal effectively addresses problems alignment VI.We recommend fixation date.
