This study aimed to estimate genetic and phenotypic parameters provide knowledge for breeding programs aiming at the selection of main characters assessment in soybeans. The experiment was installed Sabia farm, located ‘Serra das Laranjeiras” , municipality Currais, Piaui, Brazil, during 2011/2012 crop year using a randomized block design with 27 genotypes three repetitions. evaluated variables were: height flowering (APF), maturity (APM), pod insertion (AIV), grain yield (PG), number nodes (NN) pods (NV). obtained heritability coefficients were from medium high, all characters, ranging 0.53 0.94, plant flowering, respectively. These high confirmed by degree variation CVg/CVe ratio, indicating prospect success selection. higher positive correlations significant (P <0.01) observed between (0.807**) (0.781**), that plants could result more productive plants. Williams-based index presented highest percentage gain offor (21.84%) variable.
