ABSTRACT
As a part of the glymphatic system, choroid plexus (CP) is involved in clearance harmful metabolites from brain. We investigated association between CP volume (CPV), amyloid-β (Aβ) burden, and cognition patients on Alzheimer's disease (AD) continuum. retrospectively reviewed records 203 AD continuum 82 healthy controls who underwent brain magnetic resonance imaging 18F-florbetaben positron emission tomography. Automatic segmentation was performed, CPV calculated. Cognitive function assessed using detailed neuropsychological tests, were categorized into non-dementia dementia groups. The relationships CPV, Aβ cognitive multivariate linear regression mixed model. greater group than control (1.50 vs. 1.30, <i>P</i> < 0.001), but comparable groups 1.48, = 0.585). After adjusting for age sex, larger significantly associated with global deposition (β 0.20, P 0.002). Larger also worse general sum boxes clinical rating scale (<i>β </i>= 0.85, <i>P 0.034) lower composite scores memory -0.68, 0.002) frontal/executive domains -0.65, 0.001). In addition, more rapid decline Mini-Mental State Examination (<i>β</i> -0.58, 0.004). present study demonstrated that enlargement increased impaired
