ABSTRACT
The aim of this multicenter study was to investigate the malignancy risk minimally cystic thyroid nodules (MCTNs) using cyto-histopathologic diagnoses as reference standard. From June 2015 September 2015, 5,601 (≥1 cm) from 4,989 consecutive patients who underwent ultrasonography (US) at 26 institutions were retrospectively analyzed. Each nodule categorized according its proportion: purely solid, (≤10%), and partially (>10%). MCTNs compared with those solid (PCTNs). assessed echogenicity presence suspicious US features. The prevalence 22.5%. overall 8.8%, which significantly lower than that (29.5%) (P<0.001), slightly higher PCTNs (6.2%) (P=0.013). associated similar regardless or features (all P>0.05). a in hypoechoic isohyperechoic without P<0.001).The nodules. could be rather increase accuracy stratification system for
