ABSTRACT
The choice of cultivars adapted to different regions and the determination best sowing dates are indispensable tools for crop development. This allows installation in times favorable its development, as well that manage reach their maximum yield potential. objective this study was determine can adapt low-altitude Cerrado region have development efficiency. experiment conducted on a typical clayey dystrophic Red Latosol soil. experimental design randomized blocks factorial scheme, comprised by four during spring/summer season (October, November, December, February) each date there were eight upland rice (BRS Esmeralda, ANa 6005, 5015, IPR 117, IAC 203, 500, 7211 BRSGO Serra Dourada) with replicates. Sowing October November benefited aerial dry mass spikelets fertility however, provided higher plant height, which caused lodging plants. December incidence scald, mainly affecting cultivar 7211. For all cultivars, favored efficiency Cerrado, followed November. demonstrated conditions BRS Esmeralda 5015.
