ABSTRACT

The objective of this project was to synthesis and comparative characterization nanocrystalline opals. Synthesis technique called Stöber allows obtaining nano micro particles monodisperse. Natural opal origin Mexican utilized as reference. The results obtained indicated crystalline phases in the opal, presence water is shown through x-ray diffraction FTIR Raman spectra, respectively. Scanning electron microscopy illustrated spherical nanoparticle silicon. We conclude that synthetic presents a mimetic character.
